Atlas of Open Star Clusters by Mike Swan

The Atlas of Open Star Clusters covers the whole sky containing 900 clusters or possible clusters, with all-sky finder charts, a detailed chart for each cluster down to 16th magnitude and an introduction to open clusters. This is an excellent and probably unique atlas presented in a single spiral-bound volume.
Volume 1 and 2 - now out of print
These two spiral-bound volumes covered the northern and southern skies respectively. Both are now out of print. However, the basic format of the most recent edition is essentially the same as in this PDF sample from the out of print Volume 1.
The combined whole-sky volume (second edition)
For this edition the catalogue section has been completely revised. Mike has examined the data for each of the 900 clusters (using GAIA DR2) and found that 183 are actual asterisms. The Atlas section has these asterisms marked accordingly.
Mike has also revised or changed some of the cluster charts for this new edition, and added a number of deep-sky objects to them as well.
We have an example of the updated version of the catalogue available to download as a PDF.
