NGC 5139 (Omega Centauri) in Centaurus
May 2018 - Picture of the Month
Too many galaxies in a row for me, so I've decided to head south and back to the Milky Way for a stunning globular cluster.
Omega Centauri may not be visible to me in the UK, but for southern observers I'm told it's a naked eye object! The largest and brightest globular cluster in the night sky, and one with a more complex history than most in our galaxy.
